Do you think if you look at a pose ref (NOT TRACE IT) that you need to give credit, even if it's supposed to be a pose ref?

That is one of those things where I probably would but would be fine if it was not done for me. Something like a pose feels too close to copyright on words like with what Candy Crush Saga trying to copyright those words independently.

While it would be NICE if the artist to give credit, poses are something that anyone can do and find inspiration from. Names are similar, in my opinion. There is another slippery slope if one were to require credit on poses, if you go down that road, there is no such thing as an unique or original idea. Is James Cameron supposed to credit the Native American tribes who suffered for his inspiration for his movie Avatar? Slippery, no?

Now tracing is completely different. THAT needs to be either in scraps, used with permission and credited.
